1964 Austin Healey 3000 Mark III BJ8 Convertible
Up for auction is a frame off fully restored Austin Healey.
She has only 30K on the original engine and transmission, starts strong and runs strong. Best running Healey we have ever seen.
Completely new includes: brake system, electrical, seats, carpet, all upholstery, suspension, cooling system, convertible top with boot and tonneau; Perfect , two tone paint with frame matching color. Basically all parts are new, some were rebuilt or re-chromed.
This is a Frame off restoration, NO rust and perfect frame.
Notes on the restoration process:
Safety and dependability was the objective for this restoration. Great attention was made to assure the originality of this model but some things were upgraded including the electronics, braking system and cooling system. We did not have to worry about engine or the transmission because of the low mileage and strong compression but the carburetors needed a complete rebuild. The exhaust system was also replaced back to original. The suspension has been completely rebuilt. The frame is painted original body color not undercoated, 7 coats of paint. Body has about 10 no clear coat.

For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-3000-Convertible-
1964 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII BJ8 Phase 1 and 2. This is a frame off restoration by Bashaw Design, Absolutely British and Rush Auto. This restoration was completed in June of 2012. Over 60K was put into this project to assure that this would be a safe and dependable daily driver and/or a show car. Restoration Process: Phase One: We pulled everything and sandblasted frame and body panels. Phase Two: We tested the power train; engine is perfect only 30k original miles, transmission makes some noise in 1st but very typical and rear-end checked out fine. Phase Three: Paint and body. We applied four coats on frame and 7 coats on body panels. Phase Four: Pre-assembly; Completely new brake system, Exhaust, Electrical system, re-built SU carbs. Phase Five: Restoration assembly of all new and rebuilt parts. Phase Six: New interior upholstery and new convertible top with boot and tonneau cover fitted and installed professionally. Phase Seven: Everything checks out OK and very safe to drive.
