This 1960 Austin-Healey 3000 BT7 Mk I was purchased by the seller’s father in 2003 and was acquired by the seller in 2022. It is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive and is finished in black and Colorado Red over a black interior. Equipment includes a black soft top, 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, a removable hardtop, a hood scoop, detachable side windows, and a luggage rack. This 3000 Mk I is now offered with the owner’s manual, a car cover, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in black and Colorado Red and features a removable black soft top, a removable hardtop, a hood scoop, detachable side windows, fender-mounted mirrors, a luggage rack, and chrome bumpers with overriders. There is a dent on the right rear quarter panel.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured with two-eared knockoffs and are mounted with Kelly tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.
The 2+2 cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black along with color-coordinated carpets. The upholstery is missing from the side panels.
The three-spoke steering wheel wears a lace-up cover and frames Smiths white-dial instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a combination gauge displaying oil pressure and water temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.9-liter inline-six featured dual SU HD6 carburetors from the factory for a rating of 137 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with Laycock de Normanville electric overdrive.
