This Austin Healey was bought in 1958 by a gentleman called Roy Bennett who loved it so much, he used it every day for decades. As the years rolled on, it became a second car until his passing, upon which his beloved Healey passed to his daughter, the current owner. This lady remembers her father taking her to school in the car on a daily basis, and comments that the car was an integral member of their family.

Upon taking ownership, she decided it was time to restore the car to its former glory, and entrusted the rebuild to the renowned specialists, JME Healey.

JME set about a ground up restoration which covered every aspect of the car’s body and mechanicals, other than for the bottom end of the engine as this had already been rebuilt by Mr. Bennett, who was an engineer by trade and found to be in good working condition upon inspection by JME.

In the file is an extremely detailed invoice covering every aspect of the rebuild that totals an impressive £56,000.00 in 2014.

Today the car presents very nicely and drives without fault having covered approximatley 1,800 miles since its restoration. Prior to sale, the car will go through the Revive-iconics Ltd workshop for a full service and check over.
