This 1956 Austin-Healey BN2 roadster is one of 640 100M examples produced over a 10-month span and was completed on June 22, 1956. It was originally dispatched to the US and spent approximately 57 years with its previous owner, who disassembled the car in the late 1970s and commissioned a refurbishment in the mid-2000s. The bodywork is finished in black and red over red leather upholstery, and power is provided by a 2,660cc inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Equipment includes a louvered hood with a leather tie-down strap, Lucas front driving lamps, an adjustable-rake windshield, black soft top and tonneau cover, fender-mounted side mirrors, and chrome knock-off wire wheels. This 100M was acquired by the current owner in 2019 and is now being offered on their behalf by the seller in Naples, Florida with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, a 100M Le Mans Registry certificate of membership, a service manual, photos from the refurbishment, and transferable New York registration.

Finished from the factory in black and red, the car was stripped to bare metal and underwent rust repairs prior to a repaint during the refurbishment. Exterior features include a black soft top, a black tonneau cover, louvered hood with a leather tie-down strap, Lucas front driving lamps, an adjustable-rake windshield, and fender-mounted side mirrors.

Chrome 15” wire wheels are secured by two-eared knock-off spinners and mounted with 185/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. A matching spare is found in the trunk. Braking is through drums at all four corners, and the car features an independent front suspension.

The cabin houses seats trimmed in red leather with color-coordinated door panels and carpets protected by black rubber mats. Appointments include lap belts, a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, a passenger-side grab handle, and a wood shift knob.

A banjo-style steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation that includes a 120-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 2k miles, around 100 of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2,660cc inline-four is equipped with dual SU carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. An oil change was performed in April 2022.

The BMIHT certificate lists the vehicle as a factory-built 100M and indicates the factory colors, options, and identification numbers.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age.
