This 1956 Austin-Healey 100 BN2 is powered by a 2.6-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, and it is finished in a Black and Reno Red two-tone over black upholstery. Equipment includes a custom-built matching trailer, 15″ wire wheels, a black soft top, and driving lamps. The car was acquired by the seller on BaT in May 2017, and subsequent maintenance has reportedly consisted of routine fluid services. This 100 BN2 is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, service records, a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, side curtains, a tonneau cover, and a clean Illinois title in the seller’s name.

Finished from the factory in Old English White, the body was repainted in a Black and Reno Red two-tone under prior ownership in the 1990s. The two-tone paint line was applied to follow the contour of an earlier BN1 front wheel arch, allowing the black finish to meet the top of the side chrome trim. Exterior equipment includes a fold-down windshield, driving lamps, a black soft top, and front badges for the Austin Healey Club, Great Britain, England, and the Austin-Healey Club of America. Blemishes including bubbling on the bottom of the right door, rock chips, and scratches are present.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels secured by knock-off spinners are mounted with a mixed set of 165-series Michelin XZX and Cooper Sportmaster GLT tires. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes. The wheel cylinders and brake shoes were replaced in 2017.

The cabin features bucket seats trimmed in black with red piping, along with matching carpets and door panels. Equipment includes a dash-mounted overdrive toggle switch, a heater, and a wood shift knob featuring an Austin-Healey crest.

A three spoke wheel is fitted along with a full set of Smiths gauges. The overdrive is actuated by a toggle switch, and an optional heater is tucked up underneath the dash. The five-digit odometer does not work and shows 1,475 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The replacement 2.6-liter inline-four bears stamping 1B230817M and is paired with a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. Service under prior ownership reportedly included replacing the fuel pump, filters, and overdrive solenoid.

The custom-built trailer was fabricated from the rear section of an Austin-Healey 100 and is finished to match the car. It features 15″ wire wheels, functional taillights, a faux tonneau cover, and a trunk that houses a spare tire, a red tonneau cover, and a knock-off mallet. It is sold with its own title and registration.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors, equipment, and serial numbers.

The car’s chassis number is BN2L232768, and the car is titled using the previous engine number 1B232768M.
