This 1955 Austin-Healey 100 BN1 roadster is powered by a 2.7-liter inline-four equipped with dual SU carburetors, that is backed by a retrofitted four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Finished in white with a removable white soft top and tonneau cover over black vinyl upholstery, the car rides on 15″ knock-off wire wheels and is fitted with Dunlop front disc brakes. Additional equipment includes a Lucas fog light, a Notek driving light, a Smiths heater, and Pyrotect Safety five-point harnesses. This BN1 is now offered on dealer consignment at no reserve with a Washington State title.
The car is believed to have undergone bodywork and been repainted white under previous ownership. A badge bar at the front is fitted with a Lucas fog light as well as a Notek driving light. Further details include a white soft top and tonneau cover along with an adjustable windshield, door-mounted side mirrors, and chrome bumpers with overriders. The selling dealer notes bubbling and cracked paint.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by two-ear knock-offs with 165-width Ultra metric tires. Stopping power is provided by retrofitted Dunlop front disc brakes paired with drums out back.
The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl and accompanied by Pyrotect Safety five-point harnesses. Further interior details include a Smiths heater as well as a dash-mounted mirror, a passenger-side grab handle, and door pockets.
A banjo-style steering wheel frames a Smiths 120-mph speedometer, 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. A Stewart Warner ammeter and Speedwell oil temperature gauge are located below the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 19k miles, and the selling dealer states that true mileage is unknown.
The 2.7L inline-four wears a valve cover with a “Racing Engine” decal and breathes through dual SU carburetors fitted with velocity stacks and cone-style filters.
The engine wears a replacement number tag.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a retrofitted four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.
The Washington title notes “WA20200930ANTIQUE” under Brands.
