    For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.it/ebaymotors/1959-AUSTIN-HEALEY-3000-MKI-RESTORED-GORGEOUS-READY-TO-GO ...

1959 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 MKI. This car has been restored both mechanically and cosmetically, and is in wonderful condition. She received a re-painted in her original RED color. The paint is excellent with deep shine and good luster. The TAN interior is new, including the carpets (there is some separation on the transmission tunnel). The rear seats were recovered as well, and seatbelts have been installed both front and rear. The rebuilt engine runs well with good power and torque, the compression is high and uniform. She benefits from a PERTRONICS electronic ignition, solid-state fuel pump and a NEW hi-torque starter. New engine mounts were installed. The dash is in very nice condition, the chrome bumpers are excellent, some of the remaining trim has a nice patina. The door and window seals are fresh and pliable, the panel fit is excellent and the glass is in good condition. The OVERDRIVE was just serviced and works well. The transmission is smooth and quiet, and the clutch engages with authority. The suspension was rebuilt, including shocks, ball joints, hubs, roll bars and bushings. New cloth covered wiring harness, rebuilt carburetors, new radiator, auxiliary electric fan, mostly new electrics, all gauges rebuilt, new radiator, etc. The wire wheels are gorgeous, and the VREDESTEIN tires are NEW. She has approx. 500 miles on the restoration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
