This Auston Healey was in storage for the last 33 Years the person Had it in Redding California when he was 18 year old Marvin G. Rasmussen as I was told did some work on the Car off and on as He did completely dismantled everything that was bolted on and now as a frame off except for the main Box Frame and main structure attached to it, Was then Blasted and Primed as of now and I had a Chance to acquire the car this year because it was such a nice body with no Rust at all. I'm now in the process of redoing all the components one by one. Some of the parts that were in storage seemed to have walked away somehow from what I was told, I have been adding a few of the parts as I go along like the Radiator went South as well as the Front and rear bumper and there bars and some of the Instruments as well as the complete Radiator. But most of everything else is there to rebuild like his new Engine he re-built And at least he didn't put and oil in it to eat up the bearing and the overdrive unit will probably will need an overhaul before it get Re-attached to the motor. Some of the Items that I am now looking at are some cooling Plate bolted vertical on each side of the Radiator, Another item is adding a long bottom plate from front of the radiator and attached from each side of the box frame that plate going back almost to the Oil pan that will let the Air incoming move rearward. Another item that needs some structural help is I will need to be adding two half inch angles added for reinforcement of each side of the firewall Transmission cover from one side to the other to get rid of any chatter at 50 MPH along with some Side plates Gussets made up that will be attached and then welded to the Box frame and the Motor Mounts on each side for reinforcements all I can say is the works there and So little time!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
