This Healey was built on March 2 and 3 1967 in the Abingdon works and despatched to the USA on March 10th 1967. The first owner in Ohio had financed the car and when he could not pay his debts, the bank sold the car to the second owner, who had the car for almost 20 years. Being an aeronautical engineer, he moved all over the States. From Ohio to California, to North Carolina, to Connecticut, to Florida, back to Connecticut and then again to North Carolina. In 1989 he sold the car to the third owner who moved to Virginis. In 1995 the car was sold to The Netherlands. I am, as far as I know, the seventh owner. The car has been registered in six states of the USA and The Netherlands. Most of the historical information I obtained from Steve Byers and his BJ8 registry.
