This 1967 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 Mk III is said to have remained registered to one family since the early 1990s and is powered by a 2.9-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The car is finished in green over black upholstery, and additional equipment includes 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, a black soft top, a luggage rack, driving lights, chrome-finished bumpers, and an aftermarket head unit. This BJ8 Mk III is now offered by the seller on behalf of the current owner with accessories, spare parts, and a clean Florida title in the owner’s name.
The car is finished in green with a black soft top. Exterior details include a rear luggage rack, a black top boot, headlight stone guards, Lucas driving lights, dual exhaust outlets, chrome-finished bumpers with overriders, and quad mirrors mounted on the fenders and doors. Several stickers are applied to the rear window.
Silver-finished 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with 165-series BFGoodrich Silvertown thin-whitewall tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes.
The 2+2 cabin features low-back front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in black with metallic piping. Appointments include a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, and an aftermarket head unit. The seller states the glove compartment lock does not hold, and the burl wood veneered dashboard panels show wear.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 52k miles, approximately 45k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2.9-liter inline-six features dual SU carburetors and was factory rated at 150 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with an electrically actuated overdrive unit. Corrosion is visible on the underbody components.
An uninstalled steering wheel, a spare wheel, floor mats, and additional spare parts and accessories will accompany the car.
