Sellers description:
1967 Austin-Healey 3000 Mark III, BJ8 (HBJ8L38817) Last of the Big Healeys! 39, 839 Total Miles Since New! This "Big Healey" has been through a professional ground-up restoration in 1998-1999. Annual maintenance has been performed regularly and driven approximately 1,000 miles in 10 years (since restoration).
Built in Abingdon, England, this car is Old English White with new Healey British Black interior, original engine, 6-cylinder, 2912 cc, 148 bhp overdrive, original 4 speed transmission with overdrive-works perfectly, new stainless steel exhaust system, original glass, new 72-spoke chrome wire wheels with new tires, new convertible top, new tonneau cover, new boot cover, original Shelly jack, knock-off hammer and so much more as you will see in the pictures. I took great pride in restoring with only the best and working with only the best.
I bought this car for my 25th birthday from the original owner. I sold it several years later. The car remained in this area and for my 50th birthday, my wife and daughters bought it back for me. I have an extensive history of this car including a copy of the original bill of sale and all the receipts from the restoration as well. I am a member of the Austin Healey Club and have seen many restored Austin Healeys. This car is in excellent condition for showing and/or driving.
Drives and feels like an Austin Healey should-------POWERFUL!
