Auction description:
Offered Without Reserve
Scottsdale 2015
Consignment # 2133
VIN: HBJ8L34494
Vehicle to be offered for Auction sale WITHOUT RESERVE and SOLD to the highest bidder January 14th-18th, 2015 at Russo and Steele's 15th Annual Scottsdale Arizona Auction.
A very nice example of the last and, some say best, iteration of the famed 'Big Healey,' this 1966 Austin-Healey 3000 BJ8 MK III Phase 2 is highly attractive in Cordoba Red complemented by a black top and matching interior. Its 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine funnels a heady 150 hp to the rear axle through a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. A period-style, thin-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel, chrome "knock-off" wire wheels, and a polished stainless exhaust finish the car off perfectly. As offered, this very attractive, final-series Austin-Healey will make an excellent candidate for classic touring events or spirited and highly enjoyable weekend drives.
