Car was at auction 10/07
www.shannons.com.au/pages/auctions/lot.jsp

Auction description:
This lovely example of the desirable BJ8 Big Healey has been restored from the ground up by Colin Rule, the noted Healey specialist based on the Central Coast of New South Wales, and Eric Rudd, another Healey expert, from Manly. Since completion in 2000, the car has covered less than 4,000 miles and has only ever been driven in good weather conditions. Finished in the eye-catching colour scheme of Gold with Red Flashes and biscuit leather upholstery, the appearance is nicely complemented by a set of Dayton chrome wire wheels. Passenger comfort has been greatly enhanced with the inclusion of a custom air conditioning unit and to counter the Healey's tendency to overheat in Australia's hot temperatures, an additional thermostatically controlled electric engine fan has been installed. Currently registered in New South Wales, the car also comes with a modern CD player installed, a rear parcel shelf (not fitted at present because rear seatbelts have been added), tonneau and hood cover.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
