Ebay item 8/30/07
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Austin-Healey-1967-AUSTIN-HEALEY-3000-BJ8-PHASE-2-VERY-N ...
Current bid $28,600 reserve not met, 7 bids, 3 days left in auction. 40k miles.

VERY NICE 1967 AUSTIN HEALEY 3000 BJ8 PHASE 2, IT CAME OUT OF LONG TERM STORAGE (ALMOST 30 YEARS, LAST STICKER 1976, 2 OWNERS ONLY SINCE NEW) AND IT SHOWS ONLY 40K ORIGINAL MILES....WHEN I GOT IT, I WENT THROUGH A FULL TEAR DOWN AND REBUILD OF THE ENGINE, INCLUSIVE OF CLUTCH, BRAKES AND FUEL SYSTEMS, THE WIRING HAD BEEN ALL CHECKED AND IT IS ALL IN WORKING ORDER, CARBURETTORS HAVE BEEN REBUILT AS WELL, AND A FRESH EXHAUST SYSTEM HAS BEEN INSTALLED FROM THE MANIFOLD OUT....ONCE THE CAR WAS A NICE RUNNING/DRIVING CAR, THE BODY GOT STRIPPED AND THE ONLY RUST FOUND WERE THE DOG LEGS OF THE 2 REAR FENDERS, AND WERE PROPERLY REPAIRED, THE REST OF THE PANELS AND UNDERCARRRIAGE WAS VERY GOOD, THE CHASSIS WAS EXCELLENT, SO IT WAS NO PROBLEM IN STRIPPING THE CAR AND GO THROUGH A COMPLETE REPAINT, IN HEALEY BLUE WITH THE SIDES IN WHITE.....THE CAR IS REALLY NICE, THE PAINT IS ALMOST A YEAR OLD BUT IT LOOKS VERY GOOD AND IT IS IN GLASURIT BASE/CLEAR, THE CHROME ON THE CAR IS ORIGINAL BUT REALLY NICE AND STRAIGHT, WHILE INSTEAD THE BLUE INTERIOR IS COMPLETELY NEW AND LOOKS REALLY REALLY GOOD, THE TOP HAD NOT YET EVEN BEEN FOLDED DOWN.....CAR HAS BEEN GARAGED INSIDE AND USED IN FAIR WEATHER, WHILE I WAS STILL PICKING AT A FEW DETAILS TO MAKE IT BETTER, ALL OF THE DOOR SEALS ARE NEW, AS WELL AS THE TRUNK SEAL, REAR HINGES ALSO ARE NEW, A LOT MORE OTHER PARTS, LIST IS TOO LONG....BUT THIS IS A QUITE WELL SORTED LATE BJ8 DRIVER QUALITY REDO THAT CAN BE ENJOYED AND NOT WORRY ABOUT OWNING A "TRAILER QUEEN" YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO DRIVE ON THE ROAD.
