This car was offered for sale by a dealer in Washington, Missouri in December 2000. At that time, it was said that the car had a VIN plate issued by Washington state, and had been restored there. Does it still have the Washington VIN plate?

The data given above for HBJ8L33149 was apparently taken from a BMIHT certificate for the car that left the factory with that number, and is correct as far as original manufacturing data for 33149 is concerned. However, the data given as the current status of the car is not correct because it is for another car that was previously misidentified as HBJ8L33149, but is actually HBJ8L33194. The Black car was sold from Missouri in August 2015 to Norway and later moved to England. It was found that the original VIN stamped into the frame (HBJ8L33149) was apparently a factory mistake because the car itself actually carries the original body number plate and engine of HBJ8L33194 as confirmed by BMIHT. It is too much of a coincidence to believe that the plates for 33194 could have been actually switched by some owner to 33149.
Just because data for a car is entered at this site does not mean that it is always 100% correct.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
