This beautiful example of a late model Big Healey with roll up windows and electric overdrive has very low original mileage and has a rebuilt engine and transmission in 1987 and since then only 8,000 miles has been put on the car and the following additional work has been done during that period.

* New one of a kind wood steering wheel hand carved and machined on an original Healey steering wheel by a European craftsman

* Complete new tan vinyl interior in 2008 by English Interiors, including all new cushions, padding, seat and sidewall frames, new dashboard cover and new black walnut dash plus new escutcheons, switches, handles, speaker grill, Healey badge, gear shift knob....and all guages to include water, oil, gas, tach, speedometer, heater, have been rebuilt

* All new carpeting and Healey Mats in 2008 as well as new rubber door seals, firewall grommets, and hoses

* Entire transmission, floor, firewall had Kool Mat silicone impregnated fiberglass insulation under carpeting. One can never feel the infamous Healey hot feet in this restoration

* New brakes in 2010 to include rotors, drums, calipers, master cylinder, and brake lines

* New water pump and rebuilt radiator and new fan

* New front splash guard and bumpers and bumper guards have been rechromed along with grille in 2005

* Rebuilt Rear End and u joint, and all new suspension parts front and rear

* New fuel pumps and rebuilt gas tank, new fuel lines, and fuel sensor. Spare fuel pump comes with car.

* New rubber flooring, leather tire strap, and cutoff switch in trunk in 2004

* A new wiring harness throughout the car 2006 and car completely changed from positive to negative ground

* 5 New stainless chrome 72 spoke wheels and tires in 2005

* New Hubs and new chrome spinoffs 2012, as well as rebuilt front spindles, Wheel bearings, seals, and lugnuts on all four wheels

* New windshield, new rear view mirror and lift support to see over boot

* New convertible top in 2001 and new convertible boot in 2002

* Rebuilt clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder as well as rebuilt shocks on all 4 wheels 2006

* Rebuilt steering column and steering box as well as horn and turn signal

* New side mirrors, antenna, locking gas cap, glove box interior 2006

* Has Stainless Steel Abarth Muffler and pipes, 1999 that were purchased as new parts in 1999. Has an irreplaceable sound that only Abarths give a Healey

It has been stored in a heated garage for the last 30 years and it has been restored again in the last 12 years to nearly original condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
