Details:
A total nut and bolt rotisserie restoration done to very high standards by John Wilson's Healey Lane Restoration of Oregon. The car was stripped to bare metal including every nut and bolt and refinished using PPG top of the line Global Urethane paint. The entire interior was upgraded from the original vinyl to full leather in biscuit with Wilton wool carpet and the top and boot were ordered from England in biscuit Everflex which is the original material used on Austin Healey's when they were new. The dash is also a new walnut burl from England. The trunk was redone in the original style armour cord. The engine and transmission were both rebuilt and the engine was upgraded with hard seats and valves in the head for use with un-leaded gas, a retrofit rear crankshaft seal was machined in to stop the annoying leaks common in British cars and the whole assembly was balanced for smoothness. All the chrome is new or re-chromed, all fasteners that are original have been zinc plated for originality and many suspension parts and the top bows were powdercoated for durability. The original painted wheels have been replaced with 5 new chrome wheels with stainless spokes for looks and durability. A correct style exhaust system made with stainless steel was installed. The Austin Healey 3000 MKIII's were the last of the series before production ended in 1967, and are some of the most sought after for comfort and style. This is the one to buy and enjoy.
