This 1956 Austin-Healey 100-6 is a four-seat BN4 roadster that is finished in two-tone red and black over red leather and powered by a 2.6-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual gearbox with overdrive. The car was reportedly repainted and overhauled under prior ownership, and it was acquired by the seller in 2001 in California and subsequently relocated to Canada in 2012. Equipment includes a banjo-style steering wheel, a heater, latch-and-link front belts, fender mirrors, twin SU carburetors, Smiths gauges, chrome bumpers with overriders, and 15″ wire wheels. Work in 2013 included a replacement front stabilizer bar control link, bushings, front control arms, rear shocks, and front brake pads. This BN4 is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner, the seller’s mother, in Canada with a BMIHT certificate, a tonneau cover, and Ontario registration in the owner’s name.

The car was repainted in two-tone black and red under prior ownership. Equipment includes a polished fuel filler cap, fender-mounted mirrors, chrome bumpers with overriders, and twin polished exhaust pipes.

Chrome 15″ wire wheels feature two-eared knock-off spinners and are mounted with Hankook and older Yokohama tires. Braking is handled by drums at all four corners. Work in 2013 included a replacement front stabilizer bar control link, bushings, front control arms, rear shocks, and front brake pads.

The seats are finished in red leather with black piping and matching door panels and dashboard, and a black dash top and carpets. Appointments include a heater, a passenger-side dashboard grab handle, a carpeted storage tray under the dashboard, storage compartments in the doors, latch-and-link belts for front occupants, lap belts for the rear seats, Austin-Healey branded rubber floor mats, and an aftermarket stereo.

A banjo-style steering wheel fronts a Smiths 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 44k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 2.6-liter inline-six was factory rated at 117 horsepower and is equipped with a trunk-mounted battery and twin SU carburetors with open-element air cleaners. The radiator reservoir cap is missing per the seller.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with electronic overdrive. The seller notes corrosion and holes on the undercarriage.

The British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists the factory equipment, colors, serial numbers, and production dates.

A reproduction identification plate installed under current ownership is attached to the firewall.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a province that does not issue titles for vehicles. It is being sold on its registration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
