For sale on e-bay: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/
1956 Austin Healey 100M Le Mans Roadster. This is a factory built 100M as documented by the Heritage Trust certificate and is a numbers matching example.
The basic details of the history of this 1956 Austin-Healey 100M Roadster are set out on the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Production Record Trace Certificate that accompanies the car. Chassis number BN2-L/232183 was built as a left-hand drive 100M model at Austin's Longbridge factory on 4, May 1956. It was destined for the Austin-Healey dealer in San Francisco. Extra equipment included a heater, a laminated windscreen, and a louvered hood (the latter was a particular feature of the 100M model).
While the original owner is unknown, the car was owned from the early 70's through 2008 by one owner and then from 2008-current by the next. He restored the car at that time to his own requirements. This Austin-Healey is presented in good order with recent paint job by noted expert Scott Beckman.

According to its corresponding British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, the original left-hand-drive export model offered here was completed on May 4, 1956, and shipped to San Francisco. In addition to the louvered bonnet characteristic of the 100 M, this car's factory-fitted equipment included a heater and a laminated windscreen.
While its intervening history remains unknown at the time of writing, the 100 M was under single ownership from the early 1970s through 2008, when the current owner acquired it. As offered, it clearly continues to benefit handsomely from a sympathetic restoration, which was completed in 2008. The body and paintwork is particularly noteworthy, having been performed by the respected high-end classic specialist Steve Beckman to great effect, with arrow-straight body panels and a very good finish quality clearly apparent. Brittania Restorations of Rio Linda, California, completed the mechanical work. Most recently, the carburetors and distributor were rebuilt, and a tune-up was performed with new spark plugs, breaker points, and condenser installed. Consequently, the 100 M is reported to run and drive as it should. It is offered complete with a BMHT certificate identifying it as a genuine factory-built 100 M model, and it is listed as such within the 100 M Le Mans Registry as well. With only a small fraction of the original 640 examples remaining today, a genuine factory-produced Austin- Healey 100 M is without a doubt considered the most desirable of the early-production, road-going Austin-Healeys. Accordingly, the offering of this wonderful example provides a truly significant opportunity.
