This car was owned by my father in the late 70's and early 80's. I was in my early teens at the time and we spent a lot of time together working on the car. After a few years he lost interest in it and the 100-4 sat idle in a horse barn for several years. We lost storage for it and Dad sold the car to a friend of his.

The dealer listed a 100-4 in Hemmings (which I always look through). I wanted to buy a 100-4 sometime in the future so I decided to call just to find out what the deal was. He told me about the car, but it wasn't what I was looking for. Before we hung up, he said "By the way, I've got this other one.". As he desribed this 'other one' to me, I realized it was my Dad's old car. I had my mother dig up all the info she had on it, and I made my way to Iowa. Sure enough, it was the same car and I bought it immediately.
I drove it the six hours back and the car blistered my foot so bad, I could hardly walk for a week. Oh, yes it did break down once on the way back. I've had the car back for a few years now and love it. It's in good running condition, and I drive it regularly. It will eventually need sills and outriggers, but for now, it's O.K.
