Comprehensively restored, this BN2 features a very elegant two-tone black and carmine red paint on the flanks, with matching red leather interior and black piping, combined with black carpets. It is the result of several years of extensive restoration work. The body was stripped and then primed before painting. Before that the damaged sheets had been replaced and the frame righted after a minor accident.
The underbody and the wheel arches have been treated too. The mechanicals have been revised with a rebore and the engine block has been shaved. The pistons, connecting rod bearings, timing chain and valves were changed and the crankshaft was rectified. All this in addition to the installation of a polished aluminum rocker cover as well as improvements such as the installation of an electronic ignition. The four-speed gearbox with overdrive has also been redone. The clutch too was replaced, in addition to the overhaul of the entire transmission and the refurbishment of the running gear.
The aesthetics were not forgotten either. The upholstery has been superbly redone, including the carpets. In total, more than € 60,000 was spent as can be seen with supporting invoices, to make this archetype of the English roadster what it is today. It has been equipped with an aluminum hood with louvers, additional long-range lamps, a side exhaust, 72-spoke rims, but it does not have a soft top. However, it will be delivered with its tonneau cover. As this superb BN2 has covered less than a hundred miles since the restoration was completed in 2017, it will probably have to be run in before fully enjoying it.
