For sale on ebay for $39,900.00 buy it now: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-Austin-Healey-100-4-BN1-white-and-red-low-miles-/37 ...

Selling my 1955 Austin Healey 100-4. This is a BN1 built in 1955 according to the vin number which is BN1L219877 But on the title it says 1956. The body number is 4965 5477, and i cant find the engine numer the tag must have fallen off over the years but im pretty sure its the original engine. The engine is a straight 4 cylinder with a 3 speed Manuel transmission with electric over drive. I bought this car from my father which he has had since 1973. The mileage only says 1060 and i'm not sure if its original but i do know my dad only drove it a couple times. I had it restored in 08 and 09. its about 90% finished just needing a few things to complete such as, the convertible top needs to be restored, It needs the trunk liner and door panel upholstery. I have the original grill but it needs some work to get it straight, the grill that's in it now was custom made. I also have the original front bumper and brackets but it does need to be re-chromed. Also all these parts this car may ever need are available at Moss Motors. That's all it really needs to be completed, This car runs and drives great brakes work well, engine runs good and gears are smooth except for reverse, you have to hold the shifter down while backing up otherwise it wants to pop out of gear. Also overdrive does not function i'm pretty sure it is the electrical switch on the gearbox. Other than those things everything else works like the lights, turn signals, brake lights and horn.

Restoration-
The restoration began in 2008. It was a frame off restoration and everything was stripped and sand blasted and repainted. The brakes were gone through and king pins were replaced. The wheels got powder coated white and new tires put on and also have a spare tire to match. Most all the chrome parts were re-chromed to keep the looking nice and original. There was lots of money put into this car in parts and have a lot of the receipts to show it. The restoration was high quality and any rusty metal was replaced with new. The whole wire harness was replaced so it is all nice and neat. The hood hinges were taken off and had mounts made for hood pins and also has a leather bonnet. There are now a couple chips in the paint which i show very well in the pictures.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
