    I owned this car twice between 1964 and 1969. It was crashed (rolled) in about 1966. I brought it back and rebuilt it adding flared rear arches for 6" wide rear wheels and louvred the bonnet. The car was the only 100/4 painted burgundy (maroon) by the factory.

    Car now offered at;
    www.motorstorica.com/eng/Cars-for-sale/AUSTIN-HEALEY-100-BN1-Sports

    Sellers description:
    AUSTIN HEALEY 100-BN1 Sports, 1955, chassis BN1224576, original UK registration number RJJ 914, FIVA and BMIHT papers.

    Already featured on the front cover of the November 1982 issue of "Classic and Sportscar" magazine, this genuinely British RHD 100/4 was built on 26.05.1955, being one of the 10,000 examples of BN1 made between the 1953 and 1955. This peculiar model is the most essential Austin Healey, simple, strong and sporty, ready for any kind of event, including the hardest European rallies and, of course, the Mille Miglia 2016. A head-turner object in its red and white livery, our wonderful RJJ 914 is really a very nice sports car and it is proudly accompanied by an impressive set of racing and historic documents. Truly a very original and enjoyable item!

    The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

    What disease did Lucas succumb to?
